Abraham K. Zeambo
Research and Environmental Specialist
Abraham K. Zeambo is an environmental management professional with more than nine years of experience in academic research, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and field-based scientific projects in Liberia. Mr. Zeambo holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Environmental Management from Cuttington University and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in General Biology from the University of Liberia. He also holds multiple postgraduate professional certificates in Climate Change, Environmental Inspection, and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE). These skills have enhanced his expertise in environmental sustainability and risk management.
Mr. Zeambo has played a pivotal role in several high-impact national and international projects, including his work with the Liberia Institute of Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS) which involved supporting the World Bank-funded HIES/HISWA projects. Under these projects, he contributed to Household Income and Expenditure Surveys (HIES) and environmental data collection. As a Junior Scientist on the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) World Bank RESPITE Project, he assisted in the development of Liberia’s first utility-scale solar farm, utilizing his expertise to conduct important biodiversity assessments and environmental monitoring.
He also worked with Wetlands International on trans-boundary mangrove management in the Lake Piso Mangrove Ecosystem in western Liberia, supporting conservation planning and ecosystem resilience. He conducted avian surveys for Eco-Health Alliance in Marshall City thereby contributing to eco-health and biodiversity research initiatives
